Pavlova revisited

I wasn’t going to post this picture, mostly because this is what the pavlova I posted about looks like after you’ve taken leftovers home and dressed it with whatever you have left.  But apparently, it’s making people hungry. So here it is again.

That’s all for now, but a NYC restaurant week post is in the works.

Wow. 3 weeks. I’d wish you “good luck” but luck is only such a small part of this whole thing and so I’ll wish you a hearty “Ganbatte!” instead as I think it is a much better sentiment over all.

(Ganbatte is a Japanese word and term of encouragement. It means a combination of “go for for it” and “fight on” and generally implies support and wishing someone perseverance.)

Hmmmm… I meant to post that on the New York post… I have no idea how I ended up putting that here.

Oh, that looks so good. I love pavlova.

I told one of my friends on Friday night about my secret ploy to make you my private chef one day. He wasn’t sure you would want to quite your day job. So, you up for it?

given how things are going today, I would quit in a second to be your private chef 😛 I’d probably even be cheap, too given that I’m used to a grad school salary. Just as long as you made sure I had garden space …
